Στα νέα MacBook Pro 13 ιντσών, τα οποία θα είναι διαθέσιμα σε δύο εκδόσεις, ενσωματώνονται ταχύτεροι επεξεργαστές Intel, νέες κάρτες γραφικών NVIDIA GeForce 320M και αναβαθμισμένη μπαταρία που προσφέρει δυνατότητα χρήσης έως και δέκα ώρες.

Παράλληλα, τα νέα μοντέλα 15 και 17 ιντσών διαθέτουν τους προηγμένους επεξεργαστές i5 και i7 της Intel, οι οποίοι επιταχύνουν την πρόσβαση στη μνήμη του συστήματος, βελτιώνοντας έως και 50% τις επιδόσεις του. Επιπλέον, διαθέτουν δύο κάρτες γραφικών, τη νέα NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M, για μέγιστη απόδοση και την Intel HD Graphics, για πιο αποτελεσματική διαχείριση ενέργειας. Χάρη σε μια νέα πρωτοποριακή τεχνολογία της Apple, ο υπολογιστής, ανάλογα με την εργασία του χρήστη, αξιοποιεί την κατάλληλη κάρτα γραφικών ώστε να επιτυγχάνεται ο συνδυασμός βέλτιστης απόδοσης και μέγιστης διάρκειας μπαταρίας έως και 9 ώρες. Το  MacBook Pro 15 ιντσών θα είναι διαθέσιμο σε τρεις εκδόσεις ενώ το MacBook Pro 17 ιντσών θα διατίθεται σε μία μόνο έκδοση.

Σε όλα τα μοντέλα MacBook Pro, το trackpad πολλαπλής αφής υποστηρίζει πλέον και inertial scrolling, ένα νέο τρόπο για να κινηθεί κάποιος σε μεγάλες βιβλιοθήκες φωτογραφιών, μακροσκελή έγγραφα και μεγάλες ιστοσελίδες.

Όλοι οι φορητοί υπολογιστές Mac έχουν κατασκευαστεί από ανακυκλώσιμα υλικά, ώστε να είναι φιλικοί προς το περιβάλλον.
